   Our namesake, a blue pit, Etta-James, was rescued by owner Chris Wilson in 2009/10. After visiting various shelters, a lot of pups excited and hollering, he found Miss Etta James who picked up her bone and nudged it under her kennel for him to grab. Shortly after that she came home. There was a time in January 2012 she ran away with a family who fed her well and kept her warm. She was returned a week later after relentlessly looking for her. Etta enjoyed the couch and swimming at Penn Hills Park, hated fireworks and thunderstorms, and would never turn down left overs. She deteriorated and passed away suddenly in the fall of 2019. She will forever be loved and missed. 

  We are a family-owned dog daycare and boarding facility located in the heart of Verona, PA on Allegheny River Boulevard, for fast and easy pick-ups and drop-offs. We have 15+yrs combined in the pet care industry, as volunteers, pet owners, and as business owners. In our 10 years (July 2024 is our 10 yr anniversary) in this location we have grown exponentially by word of mouth. Having had three dogs of our own, Etta James, survived by Aubree 10yr old golden, & Chewbacca 9yr old King Charles/ Chihuahua, we understand the importance of safety, fun, love, and comfort for your four legged children. With two indoor play areas, a double fenced in outdoor area, and several boarding rooms, kennels, or crates, if preferred, for your loved one’s over night stay. We also provide  baths and light grooming, as well as in-home care for ALL animals(including reptiles)/insects  (minus lions, tigers and bears ).  We are a home-away-from-home, while you're away on vacation or just for the day. At Etta's we want you to be a part of our family.
